Legacy will always begin by conducting an initial (free) interview with all potential clients, this allows us to gather enough information to formulate a plan tailored to your needs. We believe that your “gut feeling” is an infallible indicator so we simply listen to what you have to say and discuss the range of options best suited to your circumstances. You can talk to either a male or female investigator about your concerns.
Marital / Partner
This is the mainstay of the private investigations services and is probably the area that most people would associate with the use of Private Investigators. It involves the use of investigators to dispel or prove infidelity on behalf of our client. This will be done utilising video and still footage in conjunction with a full and detailed written report.
Co-Habitation
A Co-Habitation Investigation will be conducted when our client needs proof that an ex partner is now living with another person, this is proven over a period of 7 days (2 weekdays and a weekend day) and again will consist of video and still footage in conjunction with a full written report.
Personal
This can be any personal problem that a client feels that they need clarification or confirmation of, we would agree the parameters of the investigation and likely outcomes that the client would like us to achieve in their behalf. If we believe that we can provide a viable outcome for the client then the case will be taken on and a comprehensive written report will be provided to back up any findings that we make.
Vehicle Tracking
We can offer covert vehicle tracking to our clients (which can be used within clearly laid down guidelines), this will assist in various investigations, primarily (but not restricted to) asset tracking and Marital cases. This can be a highly useful investigative tool and can in many cases reduce the financial outlay for our clients.
General
General investigations can cover a multitude of disciplines (this could range from people finding to carrying out a check for bugs in a workplace or residential location) and we would agree the parameters of the investigation and likely outcomes that the client would like us to achieve in their behalf. If we believe that we can provide a viable outcome for the client then the case will be taken on and a comprehensive written report will be provided to back up any findings that we make.
Drone Surveillance
Private Investigators use a myriad of innovative tools to gain information. As with all industries we must move with the times or find ourselves left behind. So can a PI use a drone for surveillance, in short yes we can, however there are laws and guidelines which we adhere to regarding their use.
It’s important to know that drones (used for work) are governed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). To that end there are some important things that both Investigators and the public need to be aware of, to ensure we are using them lawfully!
Everybody who flies a drone (not a toy) needs to register with the CAA for an Operator ID, which should be displayed on the drone itself and if the drone is over 250 grams in weight the user will require a Flyer ID. All that being said Legacy now has another tool in our private Investigations tool box.

Employee Absenteeism
In the case of long term absence from a place of work or repeated absences over a period of time, we can carry out an investigation to confirm the validity of a reason for absence or if indeed the employee is employed elsewhere whilst claiming sick leave. This can assist with reducing costs for the company or assisting with any dismissal cases.
Mystery Shopper
Mystery Shopper visits can be carried out to any business premises to assist clients by providing an honest appraisal of customer service offered by their staff. The investigators will provide video and still footage in conjunction with a full and detailed written report, which will enable the client to accurately assess staff processes (client facing) and will assist with improvements that they may wish to instigate to improve efficiency and customer services.
Insurance
Insurance investigations can be carried out on behalf of insurers that can insure the validity (or not) of a claimants case. This will be done utilising video and still footage (usually over a period of two or more days of surveillance) in conjunction with a full and detailed written report.
Accident
Accident investigations can be carried out on behalf of insurers / or a business (or private client) that can insure the validity (or not) of a claimants case. This will be done utilising video and still footage (usually over a period of two or more days of surveillance) in conjunction with a full and detailed written report.
Vehicle / Asset Tracking
We can offer covert vehicle tracking to our clients (which can be used within clearly laid down guidelines), this will assist in various investigations, primarily (but not restricted to) asset tracking and vehicle tracking. This can be done in conjunction with a surveillance vehicle which will document any stops made by the vehicle that is being tracked. This can be a highly useful investigative tool and can in many cases reduce the financial losses for our clients.
