Refund applicable:
- 29 calendar days or more – Full refund minus deposit
- Between 15 to 28 calendar days – 50% refund minus deposit
- Between 1 and 14 calendar days – No refund will be given.
- Failure to attend – Treated as late cancellation, and no refund is given.
All cancellation or transfer requests must be submitted in writing and received by Legacy Training before the course commences.
Course Description
The SIA introduced new licence–linked qualifications in 2021. This to ensure professionals within the private security industry have a stronger skill set required for the role.
This includes the ability to manage potential risks and changes caused by new technology.
Topics include:
- Level 3 First Aid
- Health and Safety procedures
- Communication skills
- Incident management
- Protecting vulnerable people
- Emergency procedures
- Record keeping
What is top-up training
Top-up training is to ensure current Door Supervisor are aware and familiar with the latest aspects of the DS role. Your previous licence must not have expired by more than 3 years.
Please note: There are very strict entry requirements, therefore you must produce as proof of identity for the course and examinations your ID and photographs will be required on the first day of training.
Level 3 First Aid course is (9:00 am am till 2pm )
This course consists of 3 Modules
Module 1 – Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry. This unit is completed by online ACT training, and this must be completed before the course
Module 2 – Principles of Using Equipment as a Door Supervisor. Pre course reading will be sent to you and a workbook which will be completed during the course. This unit is assessed by a multiple choice examination of 5 questions, of which you must achieve a minimum mark of 3.
Module 3 – Application of Physical intervention in the Private Security Industry – 13 contact hours. The unit is assessed by a multiple choice exam of 30 questions, of which you must achieve a minimum of 3.
Please note: If you hold a valid First Aid Certificate, once verified by our awarding body, we will issue a refund for this part of the course.
This training requires a reasonable level of physical fitness. It does not exclude people with disabilities but all injuries must be notified in advance of the course. *Legacy Training will not be held liable for any injuries that were not reported prior to or during the course.
